Create your ID File

User ID has its own importance in Lotus Notes. To log into IBM Notes you must have user id . Username.id file is created by IBM Domino admin containing necessary information which Notes uses to identify the person. It contains the name of ID owner and certificates. It is named with the first letter of User First name and adding Last name and saving with extension .id.

Open IBM Domino Administrator. Login with providing the password.
Select People & Groups from above given options.
From right side panel, select register from people and type the certifier password and click OK.
Now fill the basic details of user like First Name, Last Name, Password etc. And check for Create a Notes ID for this person option and save all filled details.
After adding basic details, click on Advanced option and go to Mail to add information related to mail/server.
Now select the ID info and add Certifier id and you can also set ID file path for user and save all the changes have been made.
After adding all necessary details, click on Register after which a message Person registered successfully will be shown.
The user can check and confirm the created id file on going to file location.
